Why am I seeing a "Whoops, Something has gone wrong..." error message when I try to access a Kortext e-textbook?
This error message mainly affects users of the Safari browser, usually on MacBooks, and appears when you try to open a Kortext e-textbook from Library Search or your reading list.
Answer
You can get back to the e-textbook you wanted to read by clicking the Library button near the top left-hand corner of the screen. Alternatively, click this link: https://read.kortext.com/library/books. The e-textbook you tried to open should be visible on your Bookshelf. Clicking the book cover should now open the e-textbook without any problems.
If the error persists and you cannot open any e-textbooks at all, please get in touch with us and let us know:
- Your Exeter University email address; and
- The title(s) of the Kortext e-textbooks you are trying to access.
We'll then contact Kortext to alert them to the problem with their platform.
