Can I download individual chapters from Kortext e-textbooks?

Unfortunately it is not possible to download individual chapters from Kortext e-textbooks. Like most other e-book and e-textbook platforms, Kortext features Digital Rights Management (DRM). This is how publishers enforce copyright compliance for their electronic publications. With most of our e-book suppliers, DRM does allow you to download individual chapters. Kortext, however, does not allow chapter downloads due to the terms of the licence agreements they have with publishers to make their content available through the Kortext platform.
If you think you might need to download a chapter from a Kortext e-textbook, instead you can either:
- Create a direct link by highlighting text at the start of the section or chapter you would like to return to, then selecting the Copy link option from the menu that appears; or
- Read offline in the Kortext App as you can download the whole e-textbook rather than individual chapters. Click here to learn more about the Kortext App.
If neither of the above options meet your requirements, just get in touch and let us the title of the e-textbook you wish to download a chapter from; we may be able to purchase the title for you on another e-book platform that does permit individual chapter downloads instead.
