Why am I seeing a message saying I don't have enough credits available to view an e-book?
Answer
Some e-books operate on a credit system whereby every time an e-book is read online one credit is used up. These credits are purchased by the Library rather than individual e-book users, and we usually purchase 200 to 400 credits for each title. If all the credits for a particular e-book have been used up, you will be unable to access it until the credits are renewed at the start of the next academic year. We try to minimise the purchase of these types of e-books and Library staff monitor e-book usage daily so, if we notice that an e-book's credits suddenly run out early in the academic year, we will purchase additional access for you where appropriate.
