Why is my referencing guidance now on Cite them right, rather than a PDF document?
Answer
From the 2021/2022 academic year, the university has moved away from in-house referencing guidance for the majority of referencing styles and has adopted a well used referencing support resource called 'Cite them right'. This change has been made to increase the support available to students around referencing and to expand the examples and guidance around referencing specific sources.
Students studying Computer Science, Mathematics and Classics and Ancient History continue to use bespoke guidance as the styles in use by these departments are not covered by Cite them right.

Cite them right provides examples of how you can reference a range of resources including medical images, pre-publication journal articles, geological survey maps and many more.
