What do I do if I can’t find how to reference a particular source?
Answer
If you have already checked the information on Cite Them Right and can’t find an example, check the Libguide for your style to see if there is any information under a ‘Further Guidance’ section.
It is also possible that the source of the information is not reliable. You could check to see if the information is found elsewhere in a source which you do know how to reference. If you are unsure about the quality of the source – check with your lecturer.
A final option would be to find a type of source in your referencing style information which is as close as possible to the one you have. Then include and adapt the referencing information for that source in your assignment. The main point of referencing is that you acknowledge the source you are using and that the reader can locate the resource if needed. Using this technique will help you to do that.
