Is my use of Kortext e-textbooks being monitored?

Individual student users of Kortext are not being actively monitored. However, a small number of module tutors are testing a feature called Kortext Analytics throughout this academic year. If this is the case, your Kortext usage data will be collected for analytical purposes and your tutor will tell you if this is the case. Your Kortext usage is not being actively monitored or used for assessment, but can be checked by your tutor entirely at their discretion.
Only your module tutor(s) and library admin staff can see your data. For the most part, you cannot be identified as an individual user by your usage data, however module tutor(s) and library admin staff can see some data pertaining to individuals, specifically how many times you have used Kortext and when you last used it.
The purpose of learning analytics is to support you in your study and is not intended to be invasive. However, if you have any concerns please speak to your tutor or contact the Library.
